My Alice in Wonderland Uni Bedroom*

On Sunday, I moved back to Canterbury for final year and I’ve spent the last few days settling into my new house. This year, we’ve got a house in the heart of the city centre and although it’s old and needs a lick of paint, I really like it and feel right at home here. The best part about it is that I’m living with some of my very best friends, so I’m excited for the year ahead.
Before I headed back to Canterbury, I got in contact with Talking Tables Ltd: a party tablewear specialist that I’d heard about at Blogger Picnic in the Park. They offered me the chance to collaborate with them, by featuring some of their products on my blog. After surfing their beautiful website, I came across a few Alice in Wonderland bits I liked and much to my delight, they were here in time for my move back to University! I wanted to decorate my Uni room with Disney or fairytale items anyway, so Alice in Wonderland was a great option.
On Thursday I received a box filled with some of Talking Tables’ Alice in Wonderland products. The range is called ‘Truly Alice’ and I was sent an assortment of items: the teapot bunting, the ‘drink me’ bottles, a teapot vase, some food picks, the key placecards and some cups and plates. I was in awe at the box when I opened it, what lovely things to be sent! I couldn’t wait to get back to Canterbury and put them up around my room.
When I got back here on Sunday, my new room wasn’t in the best state. The walls were worn and it was in a lot poorer condition than when I’d viewed the property in December. I was gutted when I first saw it, but after some positivity and the reminder that I had some lovely items to decorate the room with, my parents and I set to work trying to make the best of it.

We put the beautiful teapot bunting along one of the walls, which definitely helped give the room some life. The bunting is probably my favourite of the items as it’s so unique; I haven’t seen anything like it before! I really like the fact that there are quotes along the individual pieces. It retails for £8.00 and is 4 meters in length.

I also stuck one of the ‘drink me’ bottles and key placecards to that same wall. The ‘drink me’ bottles are so cute, I’ve got lots of them scattered around me room. It’s £11 for a set containing 6 of the bottles and 12 straws. A pack of 6 placecards costs £7. These are ideal for Summer tea party events!

One of the floral paper cups!
A pack of 12 costs £6.

Sticking to the teapot theme, I decided to make the vase a main feature of the room. I filled it with some Asda flowers and added the food picks as decoration. The vase is such an adorable idea! It’s made from cardboard, but it has a plastic container for water inside. The vase is available for £8.50 and a pack of the food picks costs £7.

In front of the vase, I placed my glittery Alice in Wonderland figurines and one of the plates and cups. I bought the figurines at the Disney Store on Saturday for only £10! The fact that the paper cup has a handle is fantastic; the range really goes to town with the ‘tea party’ theming.

When I was in town on Monday, I saw this Alice in Wonderland plaque in Primark. For £2 I couldn’t resist it; I thought it’d go well with all of the Talking Tables items in my room. The plaque is now up on one of my walls.

The ‘Truly Alice’ range is absolutely lovely and I totally recommend it. It’s made my Uni room go from dreary to lively and floral, and I can’t thank the team at Talking Tables enough for the opportunity.

If you like Alice in Wonderland, you can see the whole range on offer here.
Which of the items do you like best?
