When this post goes live, it’ll be my 21st birthday. I was thinking about writing a ’21 places I’d like to visit…’ or ’21 things I’ve learnt so far in life…’ post for my birthday, but then I got thinking and I realised I’d much rather just have a little chat. 21? I’m now officially an adult. I can’t quite believe it really, because I still feel so young inside. I said to my Dad a while ago, how will it feel to have two daughters over the age of 21? Dad replied saying that he’ll feel old because he’ll have two grown up daughters – not that I feel grown up in the slightest.

With getting older comes more responsibilities and really this is the last birthday I have before I enter the real world. Oddly, I’m okay about this because after 3 tiring years of uni, I can finally have a 9-5 career in an industry that I’ve been aiming towards for such a long time. I’m such an IT geek! I really enjoy writing code.

As I get older, I’ll still have Disney and that makes me so happy because I’ll always have that bit of joy when I’m feeling tired or stressed. I don’t think I’ll ever be too old to watch a Disney movie!

What am I trying to get at with this post? Well even though I don’t feel old enough to be 21, I’m excited for adulthood and the future. The rest of this year is going to involve lots of change and I’m finally feeling reading for it.
