My dream day at the Magic Kingdom!

My blog has been lacking in Disney content recently, so I thought it was about time I wrote a post about one of the Disney parks. Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World is my absolute favourite and for today’s post, I thought I’d do something different and write about my dream day at the park.

As this is a dream post, I’m going to start with waking up at the Polynesian Village Resort at about 6.30am. We’d be up early so that we could get to Magic Kingdom in time for extra magic hours. We wouldn’t have breakfast at the resort, we’d head straight to the park for a reservation at Cinderella’s Royal Table. The reservation would be booked for 9am so we could make the most of the 8-9 extra hour in the park. We’d head straight to Fantasyland and ride Peter Pan’s Flight, Winnie the Pooh, Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid and if there’s time, the carousel too!

After whizzing round and getting on the rides, we’d head to the restaurant for breakfast. We’d have a photo with Cinderella at the entrance before being welcomed into the dining room. I’d choose the Traditional Breakfast but ask for it without bacon (yes, I’m odd haha). We’d have photos with the Princesses and leave the restaurant pretty full, after all of the lovely food.

Next, we’d head back down to Main Street and stroll through the gift shops, making sure we visited the Emporium and Art of Disney.

After a bit of shopping, we’d then head to Liberty Square and Adventureland for some pre-booked fastpasses: the Haunted Mansion, Jungle Cruise and Pirates of the Caribbean. At around 1pm, we’d leave the park and go back to the Polynesian for a bit; I’m not very good with the midday Florida heat. We’d sit in the lovely and cool Ceremonial House (lobby) with a drink or sit by the pool until about 5pm, when we’d get ready to head back to the Magic Kingdom for the evening.

We’d get the monorail to the park and then go straight to the Mickey and Tinker Bell meets at the entrance. Mickey’s meet might be too long a wait, but Tinker Bell we would hopefully get to see. Our next area to visit would be Tomorrowland, where we’d ride the Tomorrowland Speedway, the Carousel of Progress and the PeopleMover. PeopleMover at sunset is amazing; you can get such great views of the park!

Next stop would be dinner at Pinnochio’s Village Haus in Fantasyland. We’d have flatbread pizzas and breadsticks with tomato sauce as a side.

After dinner, we’d stay in Fantasyland for a little bit longer and ride It’s a Small World and the Mad Tea Party teacups, before heading to Storybook Circus for Dumbo.

We’d end the day watching the Main Street Electrical Parade and Wishes, singing the songs the whole boat ride back to the Polynesian.
