Blogger Picnic in the Park – #BloggerPitP

A few weeks ago, I saw a post on It’s Sarah Ann’s blog about an upcoming bloggers picnic in Hyde Park. As soon as I’d finished reading, I got straight onto my email and contacted Sarah about reserving a spot. Great company, good food and the beautiful setting of Hyde Park? It all sounded right up my street. The picnic was yesterday, so I didn’t have to wait long at all, and it was a truly fantastic day! I’m going to talk you through what we got up to on my blog today and show you the incredible food and decorations that Sarah and the team behind #BloggerPitP were kindly gifted for the event.

The event started at 1pm, but I met my University friend and lifestyle blogger Mario at Marble Arch tube station at around 12:15. We decided to head over to Hyde Park straightaway, so that we could try and find the picnic spot. After Mario successfully navigated us through Hyde Park, we soon found the meeting point, which was decorated with gorgeous bunting, lanterns and butterfly paper chains. There were even a couple of signs that Sarah had handrawn. We met Gwennan, Hannah, Sarah and Mel (the organisers), who were all lovely. We quickly took a few photos, before sitting down on the comfy blankets.

We were in awe at the food, it all looked so yummy and there was so much of it! Benugo had provided boxes of fresh food for us! I tried one of their falafel wraps first and it was delicious – perfect for vegetarians.
There was a mixture of gifted food from an assortment of brands (Oreo, Mikado, Ritz to name a few) and our own items we’d brought. I came with some rice krispie treats that my Mum had made on Friday, that I’d cut into Mickey Mouse shapes after work. With how much I blog about Disney, I thought it’d be crazy not to bring something Mickey-shaped!

With all the delicious food, there was the temptation to photograph everything! The best thing about being in the company of other bloggers is that we all do this.

After we were well and truly full, it was time to take photos of the decorations!

Butterfly bunting from Turning Tables

The bunting was lovely and it featured pink and green: my favourite colour combination! I actually won some of it at the end of the day, so I can’t wait to decorate my Uni room with it in September. The bunting was provided by Interior Goods Direct.

There were also gorgeous Bloom and Wild  flowers, that helped add so much bright colour to the picnic.

Speaking of pretty things, Sarah’s signs helped add lots of personality to the event. How beautiful is her handwriting? I wish I could write like that.

Later in the afternoon, Only by Nature  hand-delivered some of their frozen yoghurt to us. The packaging was so Summery and colourful.

At the end of the picnic, there was a raffle where I won some of the bunting and one of the pink picnic towels from Hammam Havlu. There were lots of goodies on offer including chocolates and tea, but I opted for the pretty home bits instead. Although, I still got my chocolate fix as we were given goodie bags to take home! I can’t wait to review some of the bits here on my blog over the coming weeks. I was particularly excited to see a 50% off coupon for Gwennan’s Etsy in there and also some of Effi‘s handmade cards.
Just after 4pm, we said our goodbyes and Mario and I headed back to the station.
A huge thank you to the organisers and brands involved for such a lovely day! I really need to make an effort to go to more blogger events, they’re so much fun. To Effi, Amyleigh and Nina who also helped with the event, thank you! It’s a shame you couldn’t make it yesterday.
Thanks for reading my blog today!
Love
Kat

Kat you absolute babe thank you so much for such a gorgeous review! Your bunting photos are too much, I couldn't get enough of a focus on mine, this is exactly what I dreamed of taking! Hope you had fun unpacking your goody bag when you got home – we tried to pack as much in as possible with it splitting!

Make sure to tag us when your blanket is adorning your uni room! 😉

Was so so good to meet you! xx
