How to be festive at University during deadline season

When you’ve got lots of assignment deadlines at the end of the Autumn semester, it can be difficult to feel festive. You’ve got multiple essays or projects due in and all you want to do is just finish University for the holidays. This year I’ve decided to avoid this feeling and sprinkle a little bit of Christmas magic into my end of semester lifestyle. I’m feeling a lot more Christmassy than I did in my first and second year of University, so I thought I’d share some tips for how to be festive during deadline season on my blog today.

1. Stop by a coffee shop on the way back from Uni and purchase a festive drink!

I had one of the Starbucks white hot chocolates last Saturday and it came in one of their iconic red cups, which definitely added a bit of Christmas joy into my day.

2. Take a trip to town to see your local Christmas lights.

This one is an absolute must! It’s a great way to take a break from your studies, get some fresh air and immerse yourself in your local area’s festivities.

3. Host a Secret Santa with your friends or a society that you’re part of.

We had a blogging society Secret Santa this year and it was great fun getting to choose a gift for a fellow blogger.

4. Go for a Christmas meal.

Last night was our blogging society Christmas meal and we went to Zizzi’s. With a 25% off food voucher from the Voucher Codes app, we managed to keep the cost down. Christmas meals don’t have to be expensive!

5. Listen to Christmas music whilst you’re studying!

I realise that not everyone can concentrate whilst Christmas music is playing, but I’ve been listening to Michael BublĂ©’s Christmas album when I’ve been writing my report.
How do you stay festive when you’ve got lots of deadlines?
Thanks for reading my blog today.
Love
