The Theatre Cafe in London

On New Year’s Eve, I went to The Theatre Cafe on Shaftesbury Avenue with my friend Mario. It was raining in London, so we decided to go to the cafe for hot chocolates and to shelter from the rain. I’d seen photos of the cafe on a couple of my friends’ Instagram accounts, so it was exciting to finally be able to visit.
You can’t miss the cafe on Shaftesbury Avenue, there are lots of West End musical posters outside and there’s a Broadway-style ‘The Theatre Cafe’ sign.

Inside the cafe, you really feel like you’ve been transported into the world of theatre. There are bright lights, posters and theatre memorabilia everywhere.

The drinks menu has theatre references all over it. ‘Defying Gravitea’ is my favourite alternative drink name that the cafe came up with.

For the Kinky Boots fans, you can even pose with the iconic boots!

The cafe tables are so cool! They feature a theatre CD at the centre, surrounded by lots of pictures from the musicals. As soon as I saw our table, I immediately Instagrammed it!

The theatre cafe is a great place to stop for a drink and snack, if you’re in the centre of London for the day or heading to the theatre.

I’m hoping to take my family there when we go to see Motown the musical in a few weeks.

What’s your favourite musical?
Thanks for reading my blog today.
Love

I didn't even know this place existed but it looks such a great little spot for a drink, will definitely be popping in at some point this year
