Why Orlando, Florida will always be my favourite holiday destination*

I was 2 years old when I went to Orlando, Florida for the first time. My parents took my sister and I to Walt Disney World and we spent the majority of the trip dressed in Snow White dresses, meeting characters and watching parades. You could say that this was a bad idea of my parents, because it meant that I was going to be hooked on the Disney magic for the rest of my childhood. Even now at 20, I still love it just as much as I did the very first time I visited.

Orlando doesn’t just have Disney though, there’s Universal Studios and Busch Gardens too. It’s a place that has something for all ages, which is why I still enjoy it so much today. I’m heading back to Orlando again in the Summer after I finish University and it’s the best way to end 3 amazing years at the University of Kent. This trip will be predominantly based around Walt Disney World, but I’m hoping to explore a bit more of Orlando as we’ll have a car and it’ll be easier for us to travel around. Only a short drive from Walt Disney World, Celebration is an idyllic postcard town that has been created to showcase community life in America. It’s one of the many places I’m hoping to visit on this trip!

In addition to the variety of things to do, the good weather and the themed restaurants are what draws me to Orlando. Ranging from American classics such as Denny’s to themed places such as Yak & Yeti at Walt Disney World, there really is something for all foodies.

If you’ve never been to Orlando and you get the opportunity to go, take it! It’ll be the holiday of a lifetime, where you get to visit such an array of places and soak up the Sunshine State’s glorious weather too. You’ll never have to wonder about what to do next in Orlando, there are so many attractions to visit for all ages!

For first timers, I’d definitely recommend staying in a villa or a resort in between Walt Disney World and Universal; you want to experience all of what Orlando has to offer on your first trip. Clickstay, the holiday home rental company, offers private villas in Orlando, close to both theme park areas.

Let me know if you visit Orlando anytime soon!
You’ll absolutely love it.
