Hi I’m Kat, a 25-year-old travel, craft and lifestyle blogger living in Canterbury, Kent. Working as a web developer and designer by day, travel writing and photography have occupied my evenings and weekends for the best part of 5 years.
Covering budget city breaks, multi-centre trips, scrapbooking and things to do in my local area, I have a passion for exploring the world. Thus far I have visited 27 countries, spanning Europe, North America and Asia. I hope to increase this number to 30 before my 30th birthday.
In between new adventures, I adore heading back to the Disney parks in Paris and Florida. Living a short journey from the channel tunnel certainly has its benefits; we can be at the gates of Disneyland Paris in as little as 2 hours, when nearby Eurostar station Ashford International is operational. It is a dream of mine to visit Disneyland California one day and see Walt’s original theme park vision.
When the COVID-19 pandemic hit in March 2020 and international travel halted, I had to totally adapt my lifestyle and start enjoying leisure activities closer to home. When I’m not travelling, I’m usually found enjoying morning runs in the historic Kentish city that I call home, working on craft projects and reading stories set in far off places.
The travel memory I missed most in 2020 was getting to experience a Christmas Market somewhere new. The smell of hot chocolate, the open fires and the sparkly lights; it really is an experience like no other. I’ve visited the Christmas Markets in Munich, Berlin and Copenhagen over the past few years and can’t wait to bring home another souvenir market mug for the collection when we can.
