Walking in London’s Winter Wonderland

Every Christmas I try to visit London and what better place to visit in December than Hyde Park’s Winter Wonderland. With German markets, fairground rides and good food, it’s the perfect place to visit for a festive few hours in the city. I went there with my family yesterday, before a spot of sale shopping on Oxford Street.

A New Look Affair

Nothing says winter like a good jumper, so I couldn’t wait to wear my recently purchased New Look one to Winter Wonderland; I bought it on Monday for £17.99 instead of £19.99 with my student card. I wore the jumper with some black and white tartan leggings and my coat, which are also from New Look, as well as some heeled leather boots (Clarkes about 4 years ago). To compliment the look, I wore my Harrods bag and a deep purple Rimmel lipstick.

Winter Wonderland is a little amusement park at the centre of the hustle and bustle of London, and it has such a wonderful atmosphere. Today was the busiest I’ve ever seen Winter Wonderland, with crowds everywhere you turned. It’s expanded so much since I first visited! The market has grown too, as there’s now rows and rows of stalls selling gifts and food.

The Angels Christmas Market

Fairy lights and lanterns were some of the things on offer, and I had a great time wandering up and down experimenting with my camera. Lights are one of my favourite things to photograph, especially Christmas lights and the lights on Main Street USA at Disneyland.

The Festive Food

Normally I’d purchase some of the delicious food on offer, but it’s quite pricey, and since becoming a student, I’m much more of a packed lunch fan. The crepes and sweet treats looked so tasty though!

I had a fantastic time at Winter Wonderland, I hope you like the photos!

Thank you for reading my blog. Have you ever been to Winter Wonderland?
