With the first week of the University term over and a weekend with very little coursework to do, my housemates and I decided to make the most of the free time and head into Canterbury city for the day. Pancakes for brunch was the plan, as we left the estate where we live and got ready for the Saturday tourist madness. Studying on the hill at the Kent Campus and living close to there means that we don’t get into town very often, but when we do, we always enjoy the walk down. We walk over the bridge and the railway line, which is the perfect location for an urban outfit of the day. My housemate Ben is a fab photographer, and he took these shots of me in my New Look sleeveless coat that I purchased in their January sale.
It’s still available here at the price I bought it for: £12 instead of £34.99. Not the most practical choice for a Wintery day as it’s thin, but with the severe cold snap over, I couldn’t wait to wear this bargain. Teaming it up with my H&M velvet short dress over jeans and some Clarkes heeled leather boots, it worked as a stylish yet casual outer layer. I’ve worn the coat lots already in addition to this occasion, and it’s quickly becoming a staple wardrobe item for me. Make sure you pick it up while stocks last!
Although today’s post is a Fashion one, I couldn’t resist showing you the pancakes I purchased at Café Chambers, Canterbury’s pancake house. Banana and nutella covered, they tasted like heaven. Be sure to visit Chambers if you come to Canterbury anytime soon; their pancakes are honestly the best I’ve had this side of the Atlantic!
Thank you for reading my blog today.
