Birthday Haul – Fashion, Photography & Disney

The Best Birthday Weekend
Before I begin today’s post, I want to say a massive thank you to my family, boyfriend and friends for the most incredible weekend. I was absolutely spoiled and made to feel like such a Princess; I’m so lucky to have such wonderful people in my life. I spent the weekend at home, but came back to Canterbury yesterday afternoon and little did I know, my Uni friends had a surprise birthday party planned for the evening! Lots of my close friends were there and they’d bought a cake, balloons, banners… everything! Not only did they plan such a wonderful evening, they also told me that my present was tickets to see Aladdin The Musical in London! I couldn’t believe it. I was so speechless and overwhelmed, normally I’d cry but I managed to hold back the tears for once. Sat here typing this I keep pinching myself, questioning whether yesterday really happened. So before I go on and start talking about what I got for my birthday, I had to tell you all how grateful I am for everybody in my life and everything they did this weekend. A special thank you goes out to my best friend and boyfriend for organising yesterday, I can’t believe you did all of this for me.
Fashion & Jewellery

My sister Steph bought me a gorgeous deep purple Kipling bag for my birthday and as someone who’s collected Kipling bags for years, it was a wonderful present. Slightly larger than the one I have already, it’s the perfect size for a day trip to London or a short day in Uni.
She also bought me a Disney Couture necklace that says ‘Let It Go’. Steph showed me the Disney Couture website a few months ago and I fell in love with it straight away. They sell so much Disney movie-inspired jewellery; it’s amazing that I have my own Disney Couture piece now.
Staying on the jewellery front, Steph also got me these gorgeous sparkly stud earrings with elements of pink, blue and green in them. They’ll go perfectly with a Spring and pastel-themed outfit.
The Cupcake and Sweet Treats Obsession

My parents bought me this brightly-coloured ice cream pyjama set from H&M and this cupcake-themed notebook from Paperchase. I love cupcakes and sweet treats, so these items are right up my street.
Photography and Travel
If you hadn’t guessed from my blog and Instagram, I love photography and travelling. My boyfriend bought me some Lonely Planet books and some really lovely vintage photography notebooks. They’re absolutely perfect for me, he did so well.
The Disney Books

I’ve been collecting Disney books for the past couple of years, so you can imagine my excitement when I received more to add to my collection. I’ve now got Cinderella and Peter Pan ‘Disney Movie Collection’ books, the Disney book that everybody’s been talking about and a really cute personalised Disney book from my boyfriend. It has myself and some of my friends mentioned in it. It was so lovely of him!
Mickey Hoody and Frozen Beaker

Disney pyjamas and loungewear are my absolute favourites. There’s nothing I like more than curling up under a blanket in my Disney PJs. My parents bought me this lovely Mickey Mouse loungewear hoody from Forever 21 and as it’s lightweight, it’ll be great for late Spring and Summer.
I also got this lovely Disney Store Frozen beaker from my sister. It’s a good size, so I now know what I’ll be taking my water in when I’m out and about from now on.

Disney DVD and tsum tsums
If you’re a Disney fan, no birthday is complete without a new classic DVD to add to the collection or a couple of tsum tsums. I got Pinnocchio on DVD and the Sebastian and Jiminy Cricket mini tsums.

Beauty

Last but not least is my beauty items. I got some new versions of my favourite Kate Moss lipsticks: 111 The Kiss of Life and 30, the OPI Big Apple Red nail polish and a lovely soap that my Mum had bought for me back when we visited Sandwich, Kent. It’s so nice to have my lipsticks back looking a little less deformed and well-loved, as well as a few new items to try.
I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing what I got for my 20th birthday. I’ve been absolutely spoilt and I’m so grateful for all of the wonderful memories and gifts.
Just before I go, I want to say thank you to all of my blogger friends for your lovely tweets and birthday messages. It was so sweet of you! Also to Jade of Outside the Tower, that birthday video message from Tiana and Naveen was so adorable, thank you so so much!
Thank you for reading my blog today.
Love Mouse Chick
