Driving to Disneyland Paris and the Disney Village

It’s been 10 days since my Disney trip and I’ll be honest, I’ve been putting off writing the posts. Why? Well, it was the best weekend ever and I just didn’t know how to even begin talking about it. Yesterday however I felt ready to get started on them, so let the Disneyland Paris adventure begin!
On Friday 29th July, we set off bright and early for Folkestone, driving to Disneyland Paris. It took us about 8 hours to get to Marne-la-Vallée (including stops and the Eurotunnel crossing), arriving at 3:30pm French time. We were staying in an Airbnb apartment, about 35 minutes walk or a short train journey from the parks. We were amazed by how good the apartment was, and at such a great price too! It was in a gated apartment block, that had a gorgeous courtyard.
After unpacking our suitcases, I got changed into my Minnie Mouse-inspired outfit and we headed out to the Disney Village for dinner.
We ate at Annette’s Diner, which is a family Disneyland Paris tradition. It’s always the first restaurant we go to on every trip!

After dinner, we headed to the Disney Store and World of Disney, so that we’d get an idea of what merchandise would be on offer this trip. I used it as an opportunity to get lots of photographs; I love photographing the rows and rows of merchandise on the shelves!

Our next plan for the evening was to go for cocktails! We headed to the Disneyland Hotel first, to see what was on offer. Unfortunately they were crazily expensive, so we decided to head back to the Disney Village and go to Planet Hollywood instead. How beautiful is the Disneyland Hotel by the way?
At Planet Hollywood, I got a non-alcoholic tropical fruit cocktail. It was so good and around €6, which was much more affordable!
After finishing our drinks, we left the Disney Village and walked back to the apartment. It was time for bed, so that we’d have lots of energy for our visit to the the parks on the following day!
It was a fab first day in Disneyland Paris.
I can’t wait to share day 2 with you soon!
Thanks for reading my blog today.
Love
