In September, my friend Hannah (from the blog Courage and Kindness) tweeted about a gift exchange that she was planning. It was to work just like Secret Santa, but instead it would be Halloween and Disney themed. I love the concept of anonymous gift exchanges, so I messaged Hannah saying that I wanted to get involved straight away.
By late September, I knew who I’d be buying for and that was Maxine Westwater. After lots of googling, I came across some gifts for her. I bought a Mother Gothel hairbow, a Halloween Disney Princess activity book and some Disney Halloween nail transfers. Earlier this week, I posted her gifts (not forgetting to fill the parcel with lots of Halloween confetti) and she received the gifts yesterday. It was so exciting receiving a message from her saying that the parcel had arrived!
I got back to Canterbury today and my parcel had arrived too. The box was beautifully decorated with Halloween stickers and I couldn’t wait to open it and see what was inside!
There were two Mickey and Minnie plates, some Halloween ‘Enter if you dare’ door hangers, a Disney villains tote bag, a card, a knitted Mickey Mouse pom pom and a travel mug. I couldn’t believe how amazing the gifts were! They were sent to me by Megan Serena.
The mug even had lots of lollipops inside, how kind!
The card was based on Princess and the Frog and as this is one of my favourite Disney movies, Megan couldn’t have picked a better card. I’m obsessed with all things New Orleans!
A huge thank you to Megan for my wonderful parcel; I’m over the moon with the gifts. Taking part in the Disney Halloween Gift Exchange has been so much fun. I look forward to next year’s!
