A few weeks ago, I received an invitation to a Winter blogger event at the Canterbury Lush store. I RSVP’d straight away and added it to my diary; it was on a Friday night at 6:30pm, which was an ideal time for me as I could head there after Uni. The event was actually last night and I had a wonderful evening getting to hear about all of their Winter and Christmas products. This was my first time at a Lush event, so I thought I’d talk about my event experience on my blog today.
We were provided with drinks when we got to the store and then taken over to a group of bloggers that were being shown how to use some of the Lush products. The demonstration was really interesting, especially the part where we got to see what effect the Magic Wand bubble bar had in the water!
After we’d learnt a bit about the products, it was time for the team challenge. In groups of 3 with the help of a member of staff, we had to try and create a bath cocktail from two Lush products. My team had the So White bath bomb and the Santasaurus bubble bar. The So White bath bomb produced some amazing colours! I tried to capture it on camera through some action shots.
Next, it was time for a nighttime and daytime routine demonstration. We got to see the wide range of products available in the Snow Fairy range, as well as try the Sleepy body lotion. The lotion made my hands feel so soft!
Before the evening drew to a close, we were shown how to make a bubble bar. It was fascinating getting to see the science behind making bath products. Whilst the mix for the bubble bars was rising, we were given some free time to do some shopping. I picked up a few new soaps in this time. Snowcastle was my favourite; it smelt like marzipan!
Once we’d shopped, it was time to put the bath bars together. This was great fun as we got to cover the bath bars in red glitter!
At the end of the event, we were given a goody bag each. I can’t wait to share with you what I got in a future blog post.
A huge thank you to the girls at the Lush Canterbury store for having me. I had a brilliant time!
