Cities that I adore

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! For a little while, I’ve been wanting to write a post about the cities that I’ve been to that I’ve loved and would happily go back to. I don’t think there’s ever been a city that I’ve had a bad experience of, but sometimes there are those places that once you’ve visited them, you can tick them off your travel bucket list and focus on planning trips to somewhere new. There’s about 5 cities that I’d happily go back to tomorrow, so today’s post is going to be about them. After all, what better day to talk about the places I adore, than on Valentine’s Day!

Paris

I’ve been to Paris for the day a few times, but I’ve never fully experienced the whole city. The bits that I’ve seen: Montmatre, the Notre Dame, the Moulin Rouge, the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe are absolutely fantastic and I would love to go back and visit Paris for a multiple-day city break. There’s just something extra special about Paris!

Prague

There’s a reason why Prague’s Old Town is regarded as one of the best in the world, there’s beautiful old buildings wherever you walk and it just feels so distinctly Czech. Prague is somewhere that I could visit again and again. Hopefully in a few years I’ll go back at Christmas. The markets are supposed to be great!

Rome

Rome is full of so much history and the side streets are absolutely beautiful. It’s the perfect 3 day break destination, especially out of season and early in the year, when the queues for the attractions are much shorter. The Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps and the Pantheon are places that I could visit again and again. Rome is just such a wonderful place, that you should 100% visit if you ever get the chance.

New York City

I first went to NYC when I was 13 and I was absolutely blown away by how amazing it is. There’s so much to do in New York, that you could easily spend a week there. The tourist attractions, the fab food and the impressive architecture are just a few of the things that will keep drawing me back to the big apple.

Vienna

Classical music in the streets, Austrian food and a fabulous arts scene, Vienna is a truly wonderful place. It’s one of the most relaxing cities that I’ve visited, but this is probably because it’s not got as much to do as other places, and it has a cafĂ© and music culture. If I was visiting Budapest or Bratislava, I’d definitely take a day trip over to Vienna. It’s such a pretty city!
What cities do you love?

I love Prague! It's definitely somewhere I'd go back to. I'm going back to New York in May and I'm SO excited.

There's not many places I'd go back to, I like the idea of visiting somewhere different. I wasn't a massive fan of Rome but I'd like to go back to Italy, perhaps Venice or Florence xx

I love both Prague and Paris, in very different ways. I dont think I'd ever get bored of visiting either of them!
I haven't been to Rome, Vienna or New York but I'd love to visit them all!
If I had to pick a favourite,… ooh its tough – but I have a real soft spot for Reykjavik, it's unlike any other capital city I can think of, and so beautiful and interesting!
